Austria wins the Nations Cup 2025 for Amateur National Teams

Traiskirchen, Austria - October 8, 2025 - The Nations Cup 2025 for Amateur National Teams came to a successful end in Traiskirchen, Austria, marking the impressive revival of International Amateur National Team Football - the first Tournament of its kind in 45 years. Organized by the Amateur National Teams Football Association (ANTFA), the Tournament brought together four nations: Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Greenland. The matches took place on October 6th and 8th, 2025 in Neunkirchen, Ternitz and Traiskirchen in Austria.
On the opening day, Slovenia defeated the Bosnia & Herzegovina team 4-0, while Austria scored a clear 5-1 win against Greenland. On the last match day, Slovenia and Greenland played against each other, with Slovenia triumphing with a narrow 5:4. In the decisive match of the 2025 Nations Cup, the Austrian Amateur National Team played against Bosnia & Herzegovina and secured the Nations Cup 2025 title with a 3-1 win. This means that Austria is crowned the first winner of the Amateur National Teams Nations Cup, followed by Slovenia in second place, Greenland in third place and Bosnia & Herzegovina in fourth place. Ben Leitensdorfer from SV Seekirchen was named player of the tournament after scoring a total of three goals in both international matches.
