Clear opening victories for Austria and Slovenia at the Amateur National Teams NATIONS CUP 2025

Ternitz, Neunkirchen, Austria, October 6, 2025 – After a 45-year break, purely amateur national teams are finally competing again in a tournament in the form of the AMNT NATIONS CUP, with the Amateur National Teams of Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Greenland participating.

The Amateur National Teams of Austria and Slovenia, who are also considered the initiating nations for the reintroduction of the Amateur National Team Format, delivered strong performances in the first two matches of the AMATEUR NATIONAL TEAMS NATION CUP 2025, delivering clear results. Both teams won their opening matches convincingly 5-1 and 4-0, thus sending a strong message to the Amateur National Teams of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Greenland.

The Amateur National Team of Slovenia performed brilliantly, winning the opening and afternoon match in Ternitz against Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-0. The players impressed with their quick combination play and solid defensive performance. Coach Ales Dolinar was pleased with his team's performance: "It was a great start to the blitz tournament.
