The ANTFA Framework Schedule for 2026 Matches for Amateur National Teams has been fixed.

For the first time since the Revival of Amateur National Teams in November 2023, a Framework Schedule for International Matches in 2026 has been established. A total of 4 time slots have been defined for matches for Amateur National Teams, spread throughout the 2026 football season and encompassing approximately 20 to 24 international matches involving 8 participating Nations. Unlike professional football, creating a precise schedule for Amateur National Teams is challenging.

After the AMNT KICK-OFF and REVIVAL International Friendly Matches between Austria and Slovenia in November 2023 and April 2024, and after the AMNT NATIONS CUP 2025 contact will be made to additional football nations in recent weeks and months to convince them for the AMNT FRIENDLY SERIES mid/end February 2026 and generally of the Amateur National Teams Format for the future. Most of the feedback and responses of players, coaches, clubs, media and sponsors have been and are extremely positive and discussions, negotiations and preparations are in full swing to expand the format internationally with 4-6 addional supporting, approving and participating nations.

Until the late 1970s and early 1980s, many National Football Associations international had a SENIOR AMATEUR NATIONAL TEAM or B-NATIONAL TEAM in addition to the SENIOR A-NATIONAL TEAM. Reason for us to create a Renaissance and Rebirth AMATEUR NATIONAL TEAMS FORMAT after more then 45 years and to re-establish them through International Matches and Tournaments with International participating Nations from all Confederations.
